I suppose, everyone knows that the new game from Benoit Sokal will be issued in a few months...

as icing on the cake, they will issue too different comics on the same subject (in french...), but you've already the opportunity to see some of the pages in preview here , to have already an idea of the future...

Sinking Island" is a scenario from Benoit, and he will supervise the graphics as per "Paradise". In a few words, lets says the there is an island somewhere, a kind of tropical paradise (Maldives Islands are the ispiration) on which a millionaire has built a fabulous house/hotel for very privileged guests. A crime is commited. The purpose of the game is to discover who commited it. It also seems that, at each tide, the water is going higher. But, as an ingeener from the continent says, "it is not the water that is going up, it's the island that is sinking"...

- graphics : "Sinking Island" will be... 2D 3/4. We have found something very, very impressive for dynamizing 2D backgrounds.
- the game will have 13 characters
- and one playable : the detective
- there are various ways to solve the mystery, but only one ending.
- we expect the durahtion to be 2X the "Syberia" one.
on "Aquarica", we are finalizing the design of the game and doing the first 3D real time experiments. In parallel, we are progressing on the movie side, with various interesting contacts. But nothing's done yet. "Paradise" in a word... difficult question. I would probably say "Tragedy", as in ancient Greek tragedies.

Has anyone noticed that the White Bird Productions websites looks kind of crap. I don't know how Sokal and co think about it, but for us, the consumers, it's the only "face" they give of themselves right now - are their products going to be crap as well? I'm not saying that the site should be filled with overuse of Flash and tons of media hype nonsense, "this is the best game ever" type of bullshitting with impossible navigation and all the other flaws, but at least a decent, aestethically appealing, graphically impressing and frequently updated company site would be just what they need right now.

you're right Ante...not a lot of news on the site and certainly less update :? maybe too much work for their games/projects that they can't do it....

Picking between a mediocre game and a kickass site or a crappy site and a game that really shines... I'll go for the later.

Honestly - no one here knows what the game is going to be like.

I really really hope that this one will fix the problems that Syberia suffered from, such as:

- too easy / idiotic problems
- holes in plot
- conversation options (lack of...)
- endless walking from here to there
- "and yes, I really want to go there, so open the damn door!"
