Where can I find the locations in the real world?

Postby Mc.J » Tue 13 Nov 2012 16:39

Dear you who is giving me the answer,

Are there real locations after which the Syberia sceneries are created? I'm especially interested in a real location that matches Aralbad -- or: in the place that was inspiring the author of that scenery.

Hello and welcome!

The following link will take you to the "Making of Syberia". Benoit Sokal explains some of the background story for Syberia. According to the English subtitles for the video Mr. Sokal says, "Until recently Eastern Europe and Russia were closed off from the outside world and we heard very little about them. That's what fascinated me and inspired me to create this journey." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUeNA_TqWqk&feature=related

As recently as November 26, 2012 you'll find a picture of Benoit Sokal with the announcement of Syberia III. Why not ask your question there or send Microids a private message?
