I have a vacation here 8)
Marcos father came to our place on thursday and on friday Marco took Taru and Sointu with him and they drove to Lappland to visit his fathers place :D
Yesterday they were looking reindeer and today they visited in Kemi where is a castle made of ice. They saw more reindeer and were on a reindeer-ride with sledge 8)
Marco has vacation next week and they are coming back home on tuesday evening. I have been watching olympics whole weekend. I have to take back my words that I'm not interested  Now, when I have time and opportunity... I'm enjoying very much :!:

Go, Finland Go !!!!
I'm watching ice hockey Fin-Swe :D

thats good to know Senta :D finally you turned into the 'good side'. its unfortunately that you started to watch it so late.

too bad Suomi lost against sweden :P they were doing so well..but unfortunate mistake (broken stick thing) caused them 2nd place.

closing ceremony was so cool today. a bit boring at few moments but still cool to watch. i loved those flying people most, and the guys with flames on the heads :D

Yeah ;) It was only matter of free time
I'm happy even if I did see only few days olympics :D That was very exciting indeed!

You win if you get the bronze, but lose if you get the silver medal :x
Anyway, Finnish team played great games and lost only one game

In Helsinki here were thousands of people waiting for finnish team to come to a celebration party (party was outside btw.), it didn't matter if the medal was not gold.
Really, think about this... Here was -10 Celcius. FREEZING. Party started at 9pm. and team came here 3 am. Plane was 2 hours late and people were still waiting for them!!!! That is finnish SISU (guts  )

Funny thing. Yesterday I was on my Sunday walk (it's like regular walking, but only on Sunday). I had no idea that Finland is in finals against Sweden, our dear enemy. So I was walking in downtown, wanted to adore the sea and sun and headed to the harbour and Kauppatori. I was supriced to see thousands of people watching the match on big screen and cheering. The PA was set very loud. The only people who were like "what the hell is going on" were the tourists. Othervice the city was deserted and it was not thanks the weather. During the day and the match it was close to zero and it didn't blow. Later I went to fast food joint to eat hamburger and yes, I could hear the match from the radio there. After that I went to shop some console games and the same channel was on there too, plus the TV's (about 10) were set to show the match and people were gathered to see how Finland was BEATEN BY SWEDEN - AGAIN!

I hate sports when we lose :)

What a beautiful place to walk! 8)

It's great that the Finnish people support their teams, even if they do lose sometimes. ;)

I watched the opening seremony last night :)

Wish good luck to all those athletes there :D

Paralympics...

They're from disabled athletes, with the biggest source of energy and strength!

I watched biathlon with blind sportsmen... they're following their trainer, shoot listening to some beeps... i simply can't figure out how the heck they do that. True sportsmen.
I can hardly walk more then several metres with my eyes closed...
