Oh goodie... what a trailer.

It's an 'okay' trailer. Definitely nice to see. Except they obviously forgot one thing. You don't 'watch' a game. You play it.

Where's the gameplay?

Way back then we had game demos, now we have game trailers! Syberia trailer didn't have gameplay and now that I think, the closest game to the Dreamfall, Beyond Good and Evil, had a trailer too, and yes, it didn't have any gameplay. Well, let's see.

That's because everyone applies a cinematification outlook on games. And that tells nothing about the game... only that Ragnar wrote it, and that it's littered with Funcom and Funcom and more Funcom.

Lots of action sequences where players have no control whatsoever, and you get the title of the game.

Nothing sells better than seeing the game WORK and PLAY WELL. In that respect, this trailer is absolutely useless. Just as the other games that have used that kind of approach miserably gets a cross from my pen. This is cinema games at its best. Even Fahrenheit succumbs to this and their official trailer is also absolutely rubbish.

The Longest Journey was well received. Maybe they are hoping to snag a few more sales from unsuspecting gamers by not showing the action component in Dreamfall.

As most PC-GAMES nowdays seem to be on DVD-ROM... According to the end of the trailer this is going to be on CD-ROM.....So, the question is ....

How many DISKS is it coming on ?

At least with a DVD-ROM there's no disk swapping...

Spike..... :D

That totally depends with them.

I think some companies make two releases... one on CD the other on DVD.

If there's a DVD version, expect the CD version to range from 1 CD to 4 at max (assuming one DVD disc).

On Dreamfall, I will still wait for a real definitive video.

hmm, trailers these days come only about a month or less before game release. difficult times, huh 8)
longest journey was on 4 cd's...so this one should e on 3-4 as well. but it rather have dvd.

If I were hell bent to find out what Dreamfall is about... I could drop by there, Davie.

The thing is... this is official Funcom video stuff. And as far as I'm concerned, this trailer is utter drivel.

Well, whatever the critics will say I'm so gonna play this one. Breath taking moments from The Longest Journey are still in my mind. The closest release date I've got so far is 1H06 so it could be late as at the end of June, but let's hope that Europe will get that game sooner.
