IGN's write up on Paradise.

http://pc.ign.com/articles/688/688426p1.html

My thoughts on this game? Developers just don't get it... do they? The first paragraph of IGN's article rings true to what I feel. And I quote:

Adventure gamers are a stalwart group. They take the crap that comes out year after year and not only don't complain, but continue to buy and "enjoy" it. I suppose that's why it's always nice to be able to give these gamers good news every now and again. ~Dan Adams (IGN PC)

Hello... wake up. How many more studios have to close before you people wake up and start thinking of how to make a true next generation product. Did you developers miss Fahrenheit by some stroke of miracle? Or are you all just mindless drones working on amazing looking clickable slideshows?

Let's break this down.

Lady in the lead role... check.
Amazing slideshow with sound... check.
Puzzle-laden... with screens that look like Syberia-ripped... check.
Sokal story... check.

All this equates to... a block buster...

...DISASTER.

He should have titled this game Paradyeria: Another Syberian "GAME".

People have to wake up because this will not work. That dream sequence 'gameplay' hardly counts as new as it is gimmicky.

Break the pace of pointing and clicking? The pointing and the clicking shoud be the one breaking the pace of the game because it's utterly slow and utterly decades old.

Agh... this game makes me sick.

Don't know if you know it,
but in france we've got a famous paint (especially with tv adds) named "dulux valentine"
when I saw it for the first time I say to me "we're going to repaint the house!" ;)
