Electronic Arts, the world's largest video game publisher, on Wednesday confirmed reports that it is laying off 5 percent of its work force, or between 325 and 350 people.

Well, that isn't complitely a bad thing. There might have been overlapping in the processes because EA has been buying companies from here and there.

I see that the EA products are rather "safe" and "conservative" and this is exactly the possibility for smaller more diverse companies to shine. I bet those employees will find new jobs.
