Chapel Freez

Running Windows 7 - Game worked fine until I got to the chapel. Tried lighting candles by following walkthru. Did not work and now unable to exit room or game. Have to just shut down computer which is not a good thing. Help!! Any ideas? Maybe Syberia 2 is just n ot for windows 7.
