Mass Effect was very enjoyable experience for the most of the time. The game was the best when the events were heavily plot driven. However the events outside the main storyline, like exploring new planets, were definitely the weakest point of the game. I would give this game a solid 8 out of 10 and it's a definite must for all adventure games who are not afraid of little action.

This week, I have been playing Portal. For those of you who don't know about it. You play a character named Chell who has to go through 19 test chambers and do as you're told (if you don't or you fail you will get killed :)) by making portals to get where you want to or to drop certain objects. You are beeing guided (and insulted) by a Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System aka. GLaDOS whom I personally think is the reason why the game rocks.

If you manage to get through it all, you will receive cake

Now, someone of you must know about it.

It's a lie!

:)

Yes, Portal was really something. A good puzzle game with a plot. It was good that you could solve the levels "by the book" or a lot faster once you have mastered the logic of the portal gun. I watched an amazing video from youtube where the game is being solved in 18 minutes!

I'm playing Myst III: exile at the moment. I played part of Riven back when the computer upstairs was still being used, and that's about it. So basically jumping in blind. It's actually fun - almost rather meditative, how it draws you in and you end up concentrating on the game.

I bought Nintendo Wii and the games I've been playing are:
Wii Sports - bowling, tennis and golf
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption - fantastic environments
Resident Evil 4 Wii - this is basically the same game that was released on GameCube but with new control scheme (is that a correct term?). Really brutal but very interesting.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - this is it! Amazing Zelda game once again. Follows the same pattern as the previous Zelda games but somehow the developers make each time something new to hook the audience. Boss fights have been rather easy but that's just a good thing. Surroundings have tons of hidden stuff you can reach once you gain the right tools for that (i.e. bombs for blasting the boulders or grappling hook to pull items from the distances). The game features on of my favourite themes - traveling in time - potagonist Link founds himself in an abandoned temple in one phase of the game. Later he will return to the temple but it's decades before the place was abandoned and player will see everything in different light.

Bully (Wii) - a great adventure game using mechanics of Grand Theft Auto -series.
Silent Hill Origins (PSP) - this is supposed to be a story about "How it all started" in the Silent Hill saga but so far it has been a slight dissappointment
Okami (Wii) - looks very interesting but I've played it only a couple of hours. However, the potagonist is a sun god in the form of wolf which is always a refreshing idea.

Want to play:
- Metal Gear Solid 4
- Sinking Island (without PC I can wait for the DS release)

I've returned playing the ultimate Be-the-King/Queen-of-this-fictional-world-game, also known as the Sims 2. Yes Ruining fictional people's lives and make them have children with people they don't like IS funny. (Not that I do so)

and some other games to..
