Campaign in Europe: "I am a good leader, so choose me."
Campaign in USA: "My opponent is a horrible person, so choose me."
:)

There are certain basic needs that we need - healthy and nutritious food, clean drinking water, somewhat clean environment (soil and air), affordable place to live, safe environment (probability to get threatened, harmed or injured is small or non existing) and something beneficial to do in our daily lives. Instead of focusing to provide methods of achieving these goals the campaigns seems to focus on mocking the opponent. This - I can't understand. I may be naive and simple minded in this matter but it feels like a entertainment instead of serious thinking and planning of out future.

I must say i have the same feeling as Krysie...
i'm not sure American people they can vote for a black person...
We encountered quite the same problem here in France in 2007... --> French people was not ready to vote for a woman (Ségolène Royal)...

Thanks Pifou \o/

Let's just hope he can do more for the people here than we've seen in the last eight years and make sure Iraq is stable before we pull out.

yes, the situation is quite complicated because i don't think the "inside war" between chiites and sunnites will stop due to the departure of Americans...
These 2 religeous communities hate each other since the dawn of time.
From my own experience with Middle East countries, where politic power is done by religions, i can say that "Western Democracy" system is not a realistic nor a reasonable target that could be reached in such country... --> it's just a trap...

i hope President Obama knows this better than Mr Bush and will get the "Boys" back home very soon.

Cheers

pif

ps : at the end of the presidential campaign, i have seen that John Mc Cain doesn't even take the time to stop to Michigan... i think i know why... :asd: :asd:
