How about the memory? Did you check which type of RAM memory chips does the new motherboad use? Usually the old ones doesn't work with the new mother boards.

David...Dreamfall was part of the reason...Lately my pc had lock ups and ran out of memory , or the proccessor would turn crazy with all the projects from college....
I just tried to suffer them , but at easter my godmother sent me 300 e to buy something for my new house..I decided to keep them for going to the dentist and fix my teeth....the dentist said that it wasn't time yet, so I just sat on them....
Two days ago , my pc locked up for starting Borland C++ Suite, and I got so annoyed that I decided to install two new games , Civilization 4 (for Akis ),which worked fine , just the odd lock up at sound, and dreamfall, which drove me crazy, as I already have a good graphics card , and I decided that I'm not going to suffer anymore!!!
So I went and ordered the new mobo and cpu .......They are coming today....

Ante : yeah , I did order an ddr ram too , it just shows eh?

fortunately I have a good hdd too , an maxtor 80 gb one...and its not even one third fillled!!!

so I guess I'll be okay for the next couple of years....

now I'm annoyed for the wake up...there's again a strike at college and planned to sleep late , but my bed started shaking that I woke up startled for earthquake...it just turns out that someone at the ground floor is putting gas heating or something....

must get a stabler bed....

Sunich :
No I arent at Paris...I'm at greece, native greek!!!:)

greece is famousfor strikes....especially teacher's from college....:)
second day of strike, and probably a third one....tomorrow!! we'll see....

oh and about the wake up mentioned earlier...after all , it WAS a real earthquake, about 5 rihter or so , and the centre was 200 kms away....

today I was woken up from the noise downstairs , dressed and went to get the new parts for pc....
they aren't here yet...arg!!
I will go again on afternoon (couplr of hours in fact ) and if they aren't arrived yet, I'll have some fit or other...and demand my money back and go to another shop...
