This question was asked in the Microids Syberia forum before it shut down. Hopefully another member here will be able to help you.

Legal ways are:
-asking to microîd's support (not sure it still exists) to exchange versions (which means proof of purchase).
-buying the english version in occasion (not too expansive)
-ask a friend to give his english version.

Hope you could enjoy this great game in few times!

PS: If someone here can help me?
In June I'll have to pass a competitive examination which contains an english test.
So if someone can correct my (bad) english, or give me some used expressions, I'll be so thankful.

I'd be glad to help. Will you be given a particular topic to discuss ahead of time?

How would it be possible at all to change the language when the game does not have the right files...?

Anyway, it would be cool though...

Actually, here's what you can do for desperate measures, if you have a good way with words.

First get a friend who has the English version installed, and then, ask the person to send the installation directory to you. Backup your installation directory and gradually replace the files. By doing so, you can figure out what resources are in Italian and what are in English.

The problem is whether or not the developers are bright enough to isolate the language part of the game. If they are, you should be able to replace the language files and switch to English.

If that doesn't work, you need to switch your copy over.
