Can't "Save" games.

Postby evalbert » Sat 28 Feb 2009 17:45

Brand new player. Using Collector Series editions. On a Sony Vaio running Micosoft XP. Have plenty of hard drive space left. Game will not allow me to "Save". Save screen appears, but no way to enter a file name, and the "Save Game" button doesn't work.

Have downloaded the "Patch 3", but it doesn't recognize that the game has been installed.

Any ideas?

Love the game, but without being able to "save" there is no way to play it unless we tried to do it non-stop.

Help please.

Well, game finally "saved" but I still don't know how to add the "patch" - should I be saving it to some special directory so it recoginizes that the game is installed?
Thanks for helping.

Double-click the patch and it will install. Make you got administrative priviliges though when you install or play.

Have double clicked patch - the install starts to run, but shuts down after telling me that the game is not installed. What directory should I be saving the patch to? I had put it in the Syberia program file.

Thanks again for help.

Hi evalbert,
maybe the patch is searching for some directory like C:\ ?
maybe registry key for Syberia is not set to 1 on C: ?

on which drive did you install Syberia ?...

Game is on my C:\drive. Not sure why it doesn't see the patch. Will keep trying. Having fun with game already. Maybe I'll figure it out before I need the Patch corrections, or can work around them

Thanks,
Ed
